FAQ

Why should I use a Travel Agent?

Travel Agents are a great source of information.  Instead of you spending hours researching potential destinations and negotiating costs, you can spend the time preparing for your trip while I, as your travel agent, do the legwork.  In the end you are given an itinerary tailored to your needs.  But the work doesn’t stop there, once your trip is booked, getting you prepared for your trip (travel documents), keeping you up to date with any travel changes or delays, are all part of our services.

Will you pay more if you book through a Travel Agent?

Generally, No! Travel Agents are trained to save you time and money by asking the right questions to determine the best vacation to fit your personal interests and budget.  We have access to discounts that are passed on to our clients.  On average it takes 10-20 hours of your time to research your vacation. This time can easily double if you're researching a new and unfamiliar destination. Consider how much you earn per hour and how much your time is costing you, and you will find that our rates are better than what is offered without the work and stress researching yourself will cause.

Do you charge service fees?

We charge a service fee of $150.00 for the research and proposal for up to 3 destinations.  There is also a nominal fee of $25.00 per airline ticket if handle the booking of airline tickets that are NOT part of a vacation package.  Any applicable fees will be discussed in our initial consultation.  You can see our service fees Here.

Traveling with a group?

Have you ever had to put together a family reunion, destination wedding, family excursion or a friend’s getaway?  Then you know the stress of getting everyone on the same page, flight, hotels and activities for the group.  Well, travel agents can simplify group travel by handling all the details, making all the arrangements, including payments and requests for each traveler and find heavily discounted group quotes based on our partnerships.  Instead of being the planner, you can truly be a member of the party, kick you legs up and enjoy the trip.

I have frequent flyer miles, hotel points, credit card points etc. Can you book my trip?

Unfortunately, not if you plan to use miles/points to pay for your trip.  You will have to book directly with the airline or service desk that manages your points.  HOWEVER, we can assist you with booking other activities or services that would enhance your trip, such as transfers, car rentals, shows, excursions, etc.  Note that we would not be able to assist with any issues that arises for the portion of the trip that we have not booked.

Do You Offer Payment Plans?

Yes! When you book 6 or more months in advance you will be able to confirm your trip with a deposit and make payment up until the final payment due date.  All funds are typically due 45-90 days prior to arrival (up to 120 days for some cruise lines).  Full details are provided at the time of booking. Sorry, payment plans are not available for air-only bookings.  Honeymooners:  We also offer the option of doing a Honeymoon Gift Deposit if you are booking far enough in advance and traveling after your wedding date.  Don't need another blender! Why not have your friends, family and guests contribute directly to the cost of your honeymoon!!

How do you compare with Groupon, LivingSocial and similar discount sites?

I don't.  If you want to buy a trip from one of these sites and are comfortable with having no assistance before, during or after your trip, that is entirely up to you.  In most cases the "deals" are really not that discounted, are sub-standard accommodations, or come with heavy travel restrictions.  So just be careful and don't forget to read all of the fine print before you purchase.

What about Covid-19?

The Center for Disease Control, CDC, has issued a travel alert for specific destinations due to the COVID-19 virus.  Please see the www.cdc.gov website for more information.  Entry requirements and restrictions vary by destination.  Many places require proof of vaccination and/or a negative COVID test prior to travel.  Others may still have a mandatory quarantine in place or require you to download apps or health forms in advance.  As your Travel Agent, I will do my best to point you to the most current information.  Please note it is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure you have all entry requirements and restrictions prior to booking.  No refunds are given for denied boarding due to improper paperwork.
